Expanding Cathode Material Production

NPC began its operations in late 2018, focusing initially on cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries, including LCO, NCM523, NCM622, and NCM811. Starting with five production lines, NPC was designed to handle an annual output of 5,000 tonnes of cathode material. The facility employs 75 staff members, a quarter of whom are highly skilled engineers.

The plant's location in Zibo leverages proximity to Qingdao, Shandong's largest port, located just 200 km away, and Beijing, approximately 350 km distant. This strategic positioning facilitates efficient supply chain logistics, essential for both importing raw materials and exporting finished products to global markets.

In 2023, embracing broader market needs and technological trends, NPC expanded its production to include materials for sodium and aluminium-air batteries. This diversification not only enhances NPC's product offerings but also strengthens its role in the rapidly evolving energy storage sector, supported by its advantageous geographical location.
