About Integrated Energy Metals

Sustainability

At Integrated Energy Metals, sustainability is not merely a trendy term, but a foundational value that shapes our operations.

Driving Sustainable Solutions: IEM's Commitment to Environmental Stewardship

We prioritise green energy use and circular practices across all our operations, from mining to recycling, making sustainability central to our business ethos.

Green Mining with EV and ESS:

  • In our Wowo Gap nickel project in Papua New Guinea, we intend to harness green power to support electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems (ESS), replacing traditional diesel-powered mining vehicles.
  • At our Doncella Lithium project in Argentina, we fully support the use of a proprietary Direct Lithium Extraction process to produce lithium carbonate, which not only preserves precious water resources but also minimises waste salt disposal, ensuring a responsible management of resources.

Cathode Materials Plant:

  • Our battery cathode materials plant is powered by green energy, thereby significantly reducing emissions. Furthermore, 30% of the feed-in materials are have been recycled, thus promoting a circular economy and reducing reliance on virgin resources.

Energy Storage:

  • Demonstrating our commitment to sustainability, our Energy Storage division intends to collect used batteries and ensure they are recycled, closing the loop on battery life cycles and minimising electronic waste.
