We prioritise green energy use and circular practices across all our operations, from mining to recycling, making sustainability central to our business ethos.
Green Mining with EV and ESS:
- In our Wowo Gap nickel project in Papua New Guinea, we intend to harness green power to support electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems (ESS), replacing traditional diesel-powered mining vehicles.
- At our Doncella Lithium project in Argentina, we fully support the use of a proprietary Direct Lithium Extraction process to produce lithium carbonate, which not only preserves precious water resources but also minimises waste salt disposal, ensuring a responsible management of resources.
Cathode Materials Plant:
- Our battery cathode materials plant is powered by green energy, thereby significantly reducing emissions. Furthermore, 30% of the feed-in materials are have been recycled, thus promoting a circular economy and reducing reliance on virgin resources.
Energy Storage:
- Demonstrating our commitment to sustainability, our Energy Storage division intends to collect used batteries and ensure they are recycled, closing the loop on battery life cycles and minimising electronic waste.
